Responsibilities: The Cotsakos College of Business invites applications for two tenure track faculty positions in sales and sales management in the Department of Professional Sales, beginning in September 2009. One of the appointments will include responsibilities of a term as the Chair of the Department of Professional Sales (rank open; assistant/associate for the second position). In fall 2005 William Paterson University became the first AACSB-accredited university in the country to offer a Bachelor of Science in Professional Sales. The Department of Professional Sales, in collaboration with the Russ Berrie Institute for Professional Sales (RBI), employs one of the most advanced Sales Training and Education Laboratories in the country to support the development of sales professionals. Its mission is to elevate the profession of sales through innovative undergraduate and graduate programs. Through its graduate program and through the corporate training and consulting in collaboration with RBI, the department provides opportunities for individuals looking to advance their careers in sales and expand their expertise as sales professionals and sales executives. In addition to the activities described above, the department also runs the globally acclaimed National Sales Challenge contest on an annual basis, as well as other well known programs such as the Sales Triathlon and the Sales Leaders programs.

Requirements
Qualifications: Evidence of teaching excellence, and an established record in research and scholarship in the field of sales are required. Sales experience is preferred.
