Tenure Track Assistant Professor Marketing

The College The State University of New York College at Oneonta, a four-year arts and sciences college with a pre-professional focus, offers liberal arts and professional programs at undergraduate and master’s levels. The College has 5800 students and 450 full-time faculty and offers over 60 undergraduate majors and nine graduate programs. The student to faculty ratio is approximately 18:1. The Division The mission of the Division of Economics and Business is to enable undergraduate students to exercise their intellectual capacity, acquire disciplinary knowledge and analytical skills, value diversity, and develop ethical decision making abilities while preparing them for entry level positions in the fields of business, economics or accounting, or for graduate study. The learning environment is distinguished by small classes, highly accessible faculty, teamwork, and information technology-supported classrooms. The Division offers a B.S. in Professional Accounting, B.S. in Business Economics, and B.S. or B.A. in Economics. The Economics and Business Division is seeking accreditation by AACSB International—the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business.

The Department of Management, Marketing, and Information Systems at the State University of New York College at Oneonta invites applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of assistant professor in the field of marketing. Appointment is for Fall 2010. Review of applications begins October 8, 2009. Initial appointment is for two year.

Required Qualifications: Earned doctorate degree (all-but-dissertation will be considered) in marketing.

Preferred Qualifications: College teaching experience and a record of published research in marketing. Interest in teaching in a business program that includes diverse viewpoints among participants and preparing graduates for careers in the global context

Duties: Teach undergraduate courses in fundamentals of marketing, marketing management, marketing research, advertising management, and international marketing. Conduct research leading to publications in refereed journals, advise students, provide college service, and engage in continuing professional development.
