Job Description
The Department of Marketing and Supply Chain Management of Wayne State University invites applications for a tenure-track position at the assistant professor level beginning in fall 2010. We will be interviewing candidates at the 2009 Summer Educators’ Conference of the American Marketing Association in Chicago.

Wayne State features a 200-acre campus in Detroit’s midtown area, the heart of the city’s University Cultural Center. Wayne State's comprehensive academic offerings encompass 13 schools and colleges. The School of Business Administration is AACSB accredited, with more than 46,000 area alumni, over 1,100 current MBA students, and over 1,000 current undergraduate students.

Requirements
Prospective candidates should hold the PhD degree in marketing or a closely related field by August 2010 and should have strong research training and the ability to publish in the top journals in marketing and related fields. The Department recently started its PhD program and the successful candidate is expected eventually to participate in this program. The Department seeks candidates with teaching interests in one or more of the following areas: consumer behavior, marketing strategy, retailing, or professional selling.
