Assistant Professor of Marketing Beginning Academic Year 2010-11
The Department of Business Administration and Economics at Saint Mary’s College invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Marketing beginning in August 2010. Candidates must hold (or be at completion of) an earned doctorate (i.e., Ph.D. or DBA). We seek candidates who have a passion for undergraduate teaching. We are especially interested in candidates who have demonstrated excellence in teaching International Marketing, as well as Sales Management, Advertising, Entrepreneurship, and Principles of Marketing. Business experience in a marketing environment is also desirable.
This position is accompanied by a New Faculty Scholars grant funded by the Lilly Endowment, Inc. This grant includes a one course load reduction each semester for the first year of the individual’s appointment and a one course load reduction in the individual’s second year. The grant also includes start-up money for establishing a research program in the first two years.
Saint Mary’s College, with an enrollment of approximately 1664 students, is a Catholic, residential women’s college committed to the liberal arts tradition. The Department of Business Administration and Economics offers a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting, Business Administration, or Management Information Systems and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics.
